The Doctrine and Operations of Faith-Part 5 (Fighting the Good fight of Faith)

We considered the process of faith last week, that when God sends his word which births faith in our heart, he tests the same word before the word comes to pass and the instrument through which he does this is the instrument of time. We learned that time will test the word of God in our heart and we have examples of men like Abraham, Joseph, David etc who experienced this test and came out on the other side of faith which is obtaining promises.

This test however is beyond a test, it is a warfare that we all must fight as it requires contention before we lay hold of the promise and this is called the good fight of faith. Fighting the good fight of faith is not as though we box the air, there is a precision to fighting this fight and that is what we want to consider this week as we wrap up on our series on the doctrine and operations of faith.
