    About Sam
    "Sam Turner (1973) graduated from Wageningen University majoring
    in ethology and physiology. Sam presents lectures, workshops and
    courses about puppy development, adolescence and proprioception
    training for professional trainers both in The Netherlands and
    internationally. Gaining a deeper understanding of the physical
    development of dogs they can apply this to their classes and offer a
    better service to their learners.

    Besides these activities she teaches at different instructors courses in
    The Netherlands and Belgium. As teacher at these institutes she
    focuses on proprioception training, the development of puppies and clicker training.

    Sam has written a series of 4 books in Dutch, ‘How to keep your dog
    physically and mentally balanced’. This series the development of dogs from puppy to senior"

    My guest today is Aileen Stevenson! We had a very important conversation about dogs and kids. "The arrival of a new baby is a huge lifestyle change for humans….and also for the dogs we live with. In the UK behavioural problems related to the addition of a new baby to a family is one of the top 3 reasons that dogs are surrendered for rehoming."

    Aileen Stevenson is a Graduate and Certified Training Partner of the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training & Behaviour and a member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers. Aileen is also Scotland's first, and currently only, Family Paws licensed trainer, working to support & prepare families with dogs for life with children.

    Aileen is passionate about working with families, particularly, families with young children, to help them understand their dogs more deeply and so help them create safe, respectful, harmonious & mutually beneficial relationships.

    She is based in Glasgow, Scotland, where she specialises in family dog training and, in particular, helping families with dogs prepare for life with children.

Alexandra Kurland was an AMAZING GUEST!!!

I always love listening to The Dog Real Talk, but I have to say that the podcast with Alexandra Kurland should be REQUIRED LISTENING for anyone interested in R+, loopy training. After discussing a concept she gives specific, descriptive examples to help the listener truly understand what she is describing! If you are interested in LOOPY training--listen, I am certain you will learn something! This is one I will listen to again! Excellent interview!!!
