No One Died….thank God…

I was really hoping to feel and hear a little more remorse for their actions. Shooting at officers and flying down the road at 100 plus miles an hour and robbing a bank….but because no one died so we are to feel sorry they got caught and have to serve hard time. A lot of excuses for their actions but really feel like even after 10 years it’s still everyone else’s fault…

Glorified the criminals behavior

First there are sooo many ads! 7 mins of ads in a 34 min episode. And on top of that there is a ton of repetition so each episode feels like 1/3 is just wasted time.

That being said the story is interesting but the way it’s told glorifies and justifies these three siblings terrible choices. I fully believe in redemption and understanding someone’s background and how that leads to the choices they make.

Scattered

This is a really interesting and compelling story, but, it was difficult to listen to. The starts off with a number of commercials for other podcasts, then rolls into a dramatized scene that the siblings found themselves in, but there’s every single it was confusing. Was this another ad? The rest of each podcast doesn’t have any dramatizations or imaginings of what happened, so it caught me off guard. I often found myself wondering if I’d already listened to a particular episode, I wasn’t sure if that was the case because I was hearing something familiar, or if there was a bumper that had played the clips already, or if they were just reusing clips…it was difficult to listen to. Heavily edited but to the detriment of the flow of the story. The (I think) final episode where now there’s new people hosting that we don’t know that don’t feel comfortable and change the already odd flow of the story…I don’t understand why this style of interview/summary is becoming popular for news doc style podcasts. It doesn’t help the story, imo. The team was able to get some great interviews and put together a wild story, I just didn’t care for the way they put it together or the frequent, rather annoying ads.
