Selfishness, Judgment and Desire with Christine Meyer The Dream Beyond with Nik Tarascio

    • Self-Improvement

In aviation, we always speak about putting your oxygen mask first before helping anybody else. However, this is easier said than done in other contexts. Putting oneself first is sometimes seen as a negative and selfish decision.

This is also connected to inner judgment. My inner judgment is holding me back from being selfish and accepting what I truly desire for myself. But, again, it’s my projection of what I believe other people will think of me because I already think about myself that way.

The truth is that we are born selfish. And that is trained out of us. So if we can connect with our selfishness, we will be in charge of our own happiness and create more fulfilling relationships simultaneously. This is what Christine Meyer taught me in our conversation.

Christine Meyer is an Executive Life Coach and author of Keep It Simple, Smartypants!: Stop Overthinking. Start Aligning. Live Happy. Her clients are thought leaders and entrepreneurs from all over the world. Besides, she’s a sought-after podcast guest and a regular contributor to the Forbes Coaches Council.

For those of you on a journey of growth and expansion, I hope this episode gives you permission to go way bigger and faster.
