The Drum Brigade Podcast

The Drum Brigade Podcast is hosted by Korey Kingston and Funky Phil Pardell. It is a weekly talk show. This show is meant to be a little different than other drum podcasts you may have listened to. The Drum Brigade Podcast is meant to be a light hearted, fun show for the drum community. This podcast is not a "how did you get your start playing drums?" life story interview, tech tip- kind of show. It is however meant to be a "drum hang" show. So the Drum Brigade Podcast is just that; real drummers hanging out, chatting, drink coffee (or beer), talk about gigs, experiences from gigs/ or life in general, play drum games, venting cracking jokes, and more.
I hate drummers

These guys only have drummers, I hate drummers. I love beautiful women. Where are the women drummers? I wanna hear from a singer. How about my favorite drummer the old black dude? I love his style, and he can lay down the Funk. Tired of all the drum talk.
Super engaging, raw, and insightful!

Great Drum Podcast out of San Diego

I first heard about hosts Korey Kingston and Phil Pardell through the Mike and Mike Modern Drummer Podcast. I'm from San Diego and never knew that we had a drum scene, let alone a podcast about drumming based in SD. It's super cool to know there's two dudes (sometimes three with "Fire Man Eric") in San Diego talking about drums and drumming. I've been binge listening all the episodes and love all the segments of the show. I always look forward to Korey Kingston's "Soap Box"..Hillarious! I could relate to a lot of what he talks about. It's awesome to finally hear about the drum scene and drummers in San Diego and it's not limited to just that. The thing that sticks out the most is the shows philosophy of the "Drum Brotherhood" which shuns negative competition in drumming. By pure coincidence, before I knew of this podcast, I actually saw co-host Phil Pardell drumming in a band at the grand opening of San Diego's local custom drum shop, "Doc Sweeney Drums." These guys are cool, humble, and fun to listen to. -Vernon @VValenton (Twitter) - vernon428 (Instagram)
