Hannahpocalypse & The Last Dog + 2 season finales of audio fiction shows! 🎧☺️
Greetings, and welcome to The End Last Week, This Week, and Next Week, the podcast companion to The End, the weekly newsletter that shines a light back on audio fiction shows when they've reached the finale of a season or the conclusion of the series. I am your host and the curator of The End, Evo Terra.
Let’s get into it, shall we?
Last WeekThe most recent issue of The End - the 28th - highlighted 3 shows in the Season Finales & Finished Series section, and 2 of them wrapped in the last week:
The Holland Case, a dramatized mystery from Kaitlynn Branco, posted the season 1 finale on 10 Mar 2023. There are 10 episodes, and it will take you just under two hours to listen.Lazarus Jones is a dramatized urban fantasy from The Big Dirty Monster that also posted its season 1 finale, also on March 10th. Only this time, it will take you just under four hours to listen to the 10 episodes of that season.
This WeekWith every issue, I made two personal recommendations for great audio fiction I personally love.
My first recommendation is for my fellow post-apocalyptic with zombies fans. Hannahpocalypse, A dramatized horror comedy from Red Fathom Entertainment, is a female-empowering, fourth-wall-breaking, fun romp that I think you’ll love. Hannahpocalypse just finished its first season, but with a sufficient resolution. For now. Catch up with this season in about 6 hours, and get ready for Season Two slated for October. Next is Iowa Chapman and the Last Dog, A dramatized scifi story from Gen-Z Media. Now, I’m clearly a sucker for post-apocalyptic fiction. But this one is kid-centered, and is presented in an “educators edition”, giving a “science behind the story” at the end of each short episode. It’s a very cool format. Iowa Chapman and the Last Dog is a complete story that will take you five and a half hours to the 14 total episodes.
Next WeekThe latest issue of The End has a single entry in the New Seasons Coming soon, but it doesn’t start for four weeks, so I’ll have to wait to mention the Season 2 return of  HAUNTED: The Audio Drama, Dramatized horror from Impala Films. But I suppose if you wanted to really get ahead and listen to the 32 episodes now, that’s fine. I mean, it’ll take nearly 17 hours, so you might as well, right?
And that’s all for this episode of The End Last Week, This Week, and Next Week. For the other audio fiction shows featured, highlighted, and coming soon that were included in the 28th issue of The End, including links to listen to the shows mentioned in this episode, please visit TheEnd.fyi.

Petrified & Impact Winter + 2 season finales or season completions of audio fiction shows! 🎧☺️

Petrified & Impact Winter + 2 season finales or season completions of audio fiction shows!

Last WeekThe most recent issue of The End - the 27th - highlighted 5 shows in the Season Finales & Finished Series section, and 2 of them wrapped in the last week:
Screen Lock, a Narrated scifi story from Sapienship posted its season 1 finale… today!. There are 8 episodes, and it will only take you an hour and a half to listen to the first season. Season 2 is planned for June. Two Foreskins Walk into a Bar—yes, I enjoyed saying that very much, is a narrated comedy from Chris Thompson. The season 1 finale was posted on March 3rd. Set aside about 2 hours to listen to all of those episodes. Season 2 starts June
This WeekWith every issue, I made two personal recommendations for great audio fiction I personally love.
My first recommendation is Petrifie , a dramatized horror anthology from Liam Geraghty and Peter Dunne. I’ve featured this show from Ireland before, and am doing so again because it just wrapped its third season. Petrified currently has 23 episodes across the current 3 seasons. That’s 12 and a half hours of stories, with a new slate coming later this year.Next is Impact Winter, a dramatized scifi horror story from Travis Beacham. If you love ultra-rich cinematic audio as much as I do, you’ll dig this tale. Impact Winter is a complete story with five hours of listening to the 12 total episodes.
Next WeekThe latest issue of The End is oddly without any entries in the New Seasons Coming soon, so therefore none are coming next week. There is one coming next week. Or rather, next, next week. So I’ll save it until then.
And that’s all for this episode of The End Last Week, This Week, and Next Week. For the other audio fiction shows featured, highlighted, and coming soon that were included in the 27th issue of The End, including links to listen to the shows mentioned in this episode, please visit TheEnd.fyi.

Let’s get into it, shall we?
Last WeekThe most recent issue of The End - the 26th - highlighted 11 shows in the Season Finales & Finished Series section, and 3 of them wrapped in the last week:
The Unseen World: A Podcast Musical is, not surprisingly, a dramatized musical scifi from Ira Marlowe that posted its season 1 finale… yesterday. There are 9 episodes, and it will take you almost 2 hours to complete the first season. The Occult Adventures of Norman P. Blank, the dramatized urban fantasy comedy from Laughing Skull Audio, posted its season 1 finale on the last day of last month. It’ll take you almost 5 and a half hours to complete all 12 episodes of the first season.Superman: Son of El: The Unauthorized Biography of Clark Kent, a narrated superhero tale from Isaac Bluefoot, released the 2nd season finale last week as well. A little over 15 hours is what you’ll spend listening to the 32 episodes of both seasons.
This WeekWith every issue, I made two personal recommendations for great audio fiction I personally love. This week, I’m going a few years back in the archive.
My first recommendation is SPINES, a narrated horror show from ZoomDoom Stories. But don’t be put off by “narrated”. It’s a rich soundscape. Here’s the trailer for SPINES: SPINES is a complete series, with 24 episodes across 3 seasons. That’s just over nine hours of creepy stuff.Next is Terms, a dramatized thriller from Airship, is an extremely well-produced political thriller that is way too familiar. Predictive, some may say. Here’s the trailer from way back in 2016: Terms is a complete story with 13 episodes that will last you just over four hours.
Next WeekThe latest issue of The End lists 1 audio fiction show returning with a new season coming soon, and it starts next week.
Folxlore, a narrated horror from In The Works and Tin Can Audio, starts the 2nd season this coming Sunday, March 5th. You can catch up with the prior 14 episodes in about 3 and a half hours.
And that’s all for this episode of The End Last Week, This Week, and Next Week. For the other audio fiction shows featured, highlighted, and coming soon that were included in the 26th issue of The End, including links to listen to the shows mentioned in this episode, please visit TheEnd.fyi.

Let’s get into it, shall we?
Last WeekThe most recent issue of The End - the 25th - highlighted five shows in the recently renamed Season Finales & Finished Series section, and two of them wrapped last week:
The Night Post is a dramatized horror tale from Station 103 that posted the finale of their 3rd season last week. There are 45 episodes. Expect a listening time of just under 16 hours to get caught up before their fourth season drops in August.Morbid Forest is a narrated horror tale from Shawn Moreau and Naomi Richards that also posted the finale of its 3rd season last week. There are currently 41 episodes, and it will take you a bit over 18 hours to get all of the story so far before season four starts in September.
This WeekWith every issue, I made two personal recommendations for great audio fiction I personally love.
The first is from the BBC so you know the audio is great. Survivors of the satanic panic in the 80s will have feelings too for Restart, a dramatized thriller from BBC Sounds. Here’s the trailer:
Restart is fully complete with 8 episodes and has a listening time of just over four and a half hours.
Another exceptionally well-acted and produced show that will be of particular interest to podcasters and/or cryptid hunters is Blackwood, a dramatized horror series from Skylark | Wondery. Here’s the trailer:
Blackwood is fully complete with 6 episodes and has a listening time of just over 2 and a half hours
Next WeekThe latest issue of The End lists two audio fiction shows returning with new seasons coming soon, and one of them starts next week.
Unwell, a Midwestern Gothic Mystery from HartLife NFP will start its 5th season on March 1st. Catch up with the 48 prior episodes in 26 hours on the nose.
And that’s all for this episode of The End Last Week, This Week, and Next Week. For the other audio fiction shows featured, highlighted, and coming soon that were included in the 25th issue of The End, including links to listen to the shows mentioned in this episode, please visit TheEnd.fyi.

If you’ve never heard of The End, then this podcast will be very confusing. Fix that by going to TheEnd.fyi and subscribing to the newsletter. It’s free, and you’ll get all the links, artwork, listening times, and more. So put the notepad away and just subscribe to The End. You can thank me later. (I’ll stop saying this after a few more episodes, so fear not.)
Let’s get into it, shall we?
Last WeekToday’s issue of The End - the 24th - has seven shows in the Recently Completed section, and four of them wrapped last week:
The first is Station 151, a dramatized science fiction story from Pale Matter. They released the finale to their first season on Feb 14th. There are 11 episodes in the season, which will take you 3h 45m to listen to. Episodes of the 2nd season are slated for June of this year. Two days before that, And Worms Do Not Destroy, a dramatized fantasy from William J. Meyer, reached the end of their six-part show. Listen to the entire story in 3h 03m.Subsister: A Real Podcast is a dramatized scifi mystery from Zephyrum Studios that posted its first season finale on 10 Feb 2023.  Listen to the story so far in only 3h 47m. Season 2 starts in early 2024.And Social Distancing, a dramatized romance from Chetan Bhagat, dropped all 12 episodes of the entire tale on 9 Feb 2023. It’s an Audible exclusive that will take you 3h 43m to listen to. Assuming you’re not a monster and only ever listen to audio fiction at 1x speed.
This WeekThis week, and every week, I made two personal recommendations for great audio fiction I personally love.
The first is an exceptionally well-acted and produced show from QCODE that stars Demi Moore. Yes, that Demi More. It’s called Dirty Diana. There’s no trailer (what the heck, QCODE?) so here’s a bit from the first episode:   Dirty Diana is complete with 6 episodes, with a total listening time of 4h 22m
One of the most creative ongoing series with exceedling well-done scoring, Old Gods of Appalachia, recently wrapped its 3rd season and is gearing up to release Season 4 this summer. It’s a narrated horror anthology from DeepNerd Media, and astute listeners will remember I featured the title in the 3rd issue of the end. So yes, I’m doing it again. It’s that good. And it’s my newsletter. It also has no trailer (seriously, creators: make trailers for your series and your seasons.) so here’s a clip from the prologue: Catch up on all 50 episodes of Old Gods Of Appalachia in only 27h 15m. Or longer if you choose to listen to the mini-seasons and one-offs. Which I recommend you do.
Next WeekThe latest issue of The End only highlights a single show returning with new a season coming soon. It doesn’t return until March 1st, which rather breaks the “next week” theme, but since it’s the only one, I’ll tell you about it.

Last WeekToday’s issue of The End - the 23rd - has five shows in the Recently Completed section, and two of them wrapped last week:
SEANCE : High Falls is a dramatized magical realism show from Soundbooth Theater. The 8-episode story was completed on February 9th.And McCobb Mortality Services, a dramatized musical comedy from McCobb Radio Team, published the last episode of their 6-part story on February 6th
This WeekThis week, and every week, I made two personal recommendations for great audio fiction I personally love.
Many creators have explored the “archivist” style of fiction audio, particularly in podcasting, but I find Out of Place, classified as narrated scifi, from Midnight Disease Productions, particuarly well done.  Out of Place is a complete story, with 26 episodes across two seasons. It’s a 9h 08m journey.
And I greatly enjoyed the premise of The Dragoning, a narrated urban fantasy from Messenger Theatre Company, put into practice. The Dragoning is complete, with 20 episodes in two seasons, for a total listening time of 6h 14m. But as Emily wrote in her submission: “Did we start writing a possible Season 3? Yes. Will we put it out? Only if there's significant demand for it.”
Next WeekThe latest issue of The End only highlights a single show returning with a new season coming soon. And it happens to return next week!
Liminal Criminals: A Fake Crime Podcast from SCWR Productions, will resume with its 2nd season on the 14th of February. Valentine's day here in America. How nice. It’ll take you 5h 00m to catch up on the 14 episodes in season 1
And that’s all for this episode of The End Last Week, This Week, and Next Week. For the other audio fiction shows featured, highlighted, and coming soon that were included in the 23rd issue of The End, including links to listen to the shows mentioned in this episode, please visit TheEnd.fyi.
