The endless pandemic; how to survive in a world with forever Covid-19 Intellectual Medicine

    • Medicine

Covid-19, Delta, Gamma, Covid-20, Covid-21, it's starting to look like this will never end.

Viruses have been with us since the dawn of mankind. Yet we have thrived despite them. We can credit our innate immune system with the fact that most of us get up and carve through every day feeling great.

One of the ironic aspects of the current pandemic is the consequence of our overreaching diagnostic capabilities. Because we can now "diagnose" somebody who feels great but is simply carrying a virus, we have created an unprecedented level of societal concern. Never before in the history of pandemics have we labeled totally healthy people as being "infected" simply because they are carrying a virus. We all carry viruses, every day.

Our ability to acquire data is happening faster than our capacity to rationally interpret it. The solution to living in a socially integrated environment is not to hide behind a shield, but to trust, and reinforce, our invisible force field known as our immune system.

As explained in this podcast, supporting immune health is part of anti-aging . Passively waiting for the next immunization will not make you healthy. Actively taking steps to counteract the effects of aging will.
