    Welcome back, apologies for the short delay between episodes. things have been... weird in the US. Chris and Steve spend a bit of time decompressing, talking about shows they almost covered but didn't. Including Mr McMahon and Doctor Odyssey. Before we finally get to a new Cartoon on Adult Swim. Invincible Fight Girl! It's a pretty cute show, it fits into the wrestling trope for our podcast, and we liked it.     197. Penguin, Agatha All Along, High Potential : Episodes One (HBO/Max, Disney+, ABC/Hulu

    Are three shows too much for one episode? Not when two are long awaited comic book shows and the third has a tie to one of them! This week Chris and Steve take a look at The Penguin a spin off series from 2022's The Batman film The sequel to 2021's Wanda Vision: Agatha All Along And a new Procedural that caught our eye, High Potential starring Kaitlin Olson from The Mick and It's Always Sunny! It's a long episode, so buckle in and let's go!

    196. Terminator Zero, Rick and Morty Anime : Episodes One (Netflix, Adult Swim)

    We've promised a few all anime episodes, I think we finally delivered. We've been graced by two drastically different Anime adaptations of American products. Each a little controversial, mostly for being more of an anime style american series than an anime done for a foreign audience and then brought to the US. However, the Rick and Morty Anime is even more controversial for..... nobody quite knowing what it is? Chris has never been more confused by a show, and then add on more4 confusion to find the Rick and Morty audience doesn't get it either! However Teminator was really good!     We are so back. We did not just fall out of a coconut tree. But Maybe Chuck Brown, aka Kite Man did? The Spinoff to the great R Rated cartoon series (Batman says F**K!) Harley Quinn is here. And did someone say Noonan's? Chris gushes about the Garth Ennis Hit Man, Steve provides all the context from the Harley Quinn Series, and we have as much fun as we've had since M.O.D.O.K.     194. The Acolyte, Clipped : Episodes One (Disney +, FX on Hulu on Disney +)

    Has it really been nearly a year since the last Star Wars show? It doesn't feel like it's been that long, yet it also feels like forever. Has it really been TEN years since the Donald Sterling scandal? And the Clippers still haven't won anything since? Hard to tell what's more cursed, The Clippers or the public's reaction to recent Star Wars media. Well Steve and Chris are here to take them both head on.     This week Steve and Chris have a special guest, Cindy Moon (https://www.instagram.com/cindymoon007) She's here to talk about X-men 97 Netflix's The Three Body Problem. We spend a little time getting to Know Cindy, and then a brief digression into Moonfall (F* the Moon! F* the Moon!) Then we get into our two shows! First we dig into X-men 97 (10:30). Talk about our respective histories with the original Fox cartoon show and dig into the controversy behind the showrunner's dismissal. Then we jump over to Three Body Problem (48:30). Cindy gets deep into the depiction of the Cultural Revolution, and Chris talks about how he enjoys "Hard" Sci-fi like this. We also discuss the long history of attempts to adapt the original Chinese Novel. And we wrap it up with Crossovers and 30 second pitches!

    Steve and Chris watch Avatar, no not that one, no not that one, no definitely not that year... Yeah the new one, the live action one on netflix. After one hit (One Piece) and one miss (Cowboy Bebop) how is Netflix's latest foray into the world of live action anime? Overall, not bad. Before all that, Chris talks a bit about Madame Web, and yeah, pretty much everything you've heard about it is right.
