So. Freaking. Good.

Not gonna lie, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this one, but I’m so glad I was wrong. This is such a legit podcast. I love how it’s bringing to light all of these cases that still deserve to be looked at.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

As a social worker in Cleveland, I see first hand the trauma of poverty and race. It’s infuriating to beg attention to the missing, murdered, and forgotten girls of color. The ones who don’t ever make to news or, if they do, are quickly forgotten in the news cycles. It’s not going to change until we force ourselves to ask why-why does it seem to matter less? Why are we so willing to lavish media attention on blonde, blue eyed “pretty girls” and all but ignore our beautiful brown-skinned brown eyed girls? And are we okay with this?

Please keep doing what you’re doing. It’s beyond important-it’s necessary to bring some semblance of effort to offset this inequity. And thank you, Karen. You’re amazing.
