The Fall of Rome

I have been listening to these lectures night after night and many of them more than once. It is the closest I’ve ever been to experiencing a time and place so distant from my own, and the layers of detail regarding different aspects ( economy, trade, government, etc) is a secondary bonus. I can’t believe I am getting something this first-rate for free!

Interview with Lisa Bitel

Just finished the interview referenced above titled “Christianizing the Roman Empire “.
Lisa Bitel is dismissive and insulting.
I wouldn’t bother listening to this episode, whether you are an atheist, agnostic, or a member of any religious group.

Compelling, and detailed

Great podcast for anyone who wants to learn about the downfall of the Roman Empire. Patricks voice is good for this medium. I definitely recommedn this podcast.
