10.2: "The Winchesters" E7 - Reflections of Destiel and AU Madness
In Part 2 of their 2-parter on The Winchesters' "Reflections," Chrisha and Catherine take out their red string and have fun trying to untangle the mess of what the heck is going on in the wider story. They look at look at the connections between the Akrida and Supernatural S7's Leviathan and delve further into differences between the two series: beyond the odd ghouls to the watchdogs left behind by the Men of Letters and the different way that magic seems to work. Yes, there is more talk about radio waves. Yes, they talk about the closet scene and the kiss scene and the reflections of Supernatural's "Despair." And they ponder the importance of Roxy's comment that "nothing of this Earth" can kill her.

In Part 1 of their 2-parter on The Winchesters' "Reflections," Chrisha and Catherine look at the characters' journeys--everything from the psychological reasons for John's regression under pressure to Millie and Ada bonding to Carlos' knowledge of Latin. In the midst of it all, they talk about odd ghouls, the ins and outs of Akrida possession, and the implications for Robbie Thompson's interview with TV Line, where he teases that he hopes the reveal that the Akrida are from an AU "will drive some theories from our audience as to what we've been up to."

I'm honestly struggling to write this succinctly enough for an iTunes review, so please, understand that I could address every single minute of the episode after the finale, but I just wanted to let you know that the moment at about minute 48, when you mention people who are struggling, and don't even really understand why they're struggling, because they're still in the feelings mode, and can't articulate it....I feel like I let out this huge exhale when I heard that. It's interesting/anxiety-provoking to have such huge feelings and not feel like you've been really heard, because you don't have the tools or feel comfortable enough with peers to really get into it. Even now, I'm having trouble processing the 1. utter wrongness of that episode, 2. my personal emotions over it, and 3. the absolute whirlwind that has been fandom since episode 18. I'm exhausted and I guess it was just so great to hear that we aren't all victims of some mass hallucination. Please take care of yourselves. You are doing a great, and important service to this fandom.

I love the brilliant character insight & great literary critique of this show. Their love of all aspects of SPN is apparent & a joy to spend time listening to. They so have such revelatory & smart convos that incorporate all 14+ years of SPN. I just wanna say thanks for all their thoughtful work on this.
Best podcast ever
I love this podcast. The knowledge and love for Supernatural is so evident in how Catherine and Chrisha discuss the episodes. They dive in to the characters. They keep me thinking about different points of views to these characters that I love. They also make me laugh, then cry, then laugh again!! Thank you. Also I love the final minutes of each episodes. Outtakes are my favorite.
