War Story, Part 2 (Steven and Brooke Elliott)

War Story, Part 2 (Steven and Brooke Elliott)

In April 2004, Army Ranger Steven Elliott was deployed with the 2nd Ranger Battalion to Afghanistan. The objective of operation “Mountain Storm” was to kill or capture Osama Bin Laden. On April 22, Steven’s squad was attacked by enemy combatants which resulted in 4 casualties, one of whom was former NFL safety, Pat Tillman.
This is part two of our interview with our good friends Steven and Brooke Elliott. Theirs is a story of tragedy, depression, grace, and redemption. It’s our prayer that by hearing their story you can marvel with us at the goodness of God to repair and restore lives, even when all hope seems lost.
You can find Steven’s’ book, War Story, wherever books are sold or by visiting WarStoryBook.com. Additionally, Steven and Brook are the founders of The Elliott fund, which exists to advocate for reform in how the unseen wounds of war are viewed and treated so that the broken places can be made whole. Helpful & positive podcast

Thankful

Ryan and Selena have a way of being transparent, relatable, and comprehensive in so many crucial aspects of marriage, all while most importantly remaining gospel-focused. It’s a JOY to be able to listen and learn from a couple I can truly feel are “walking” in this journey as well, rather than just teaching. I feel they are able to vocalize so many emotions, feelings, and perspectives all the whole always being able to circle it back to the bigger picture of what it means to pursue and strengthen relationship with the Lord. Tangential at times (which to me, makes them even MORE relatable and less “scripted”) but such a blessing to listen to

Taking over each other

I love the content of this podcast but... it takes so long to get into the topics. You shouldn’t have to listen 13 minutes before you even start discussing the context. They have such good content but get off track and talk over each other. I love the content but I can’t handle them talking over each other.
