    On August 2nd 2023 Water Justice Lab visited the drinking water treatment plant and met with advocates and activists about water quality and the lead pipe issue in Troy. Community member Jona Favreau talked about her personal journey as a mother discovering her water was contaminated with lead, and how she became an activist raising her voice to make change in Troy. Before the tour, youth Science Fellow Muzzamil Moate interviewed Jona, then Emily Shusas interviewed WJL mentor Ellie Irons about what the team learned at the treatment plant.

A rally was held at the State Capitol in Albany, with a call for NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli to divest both from fossil fuels and Israel.
