Sup Snobbies. We have a FILM SNOBS FIRST!! Today marks the first time we’ve had a repeat guest TWICE in a row. Lydia is back with her take on Cody’s pick this week. We gave Cody the assignment to pick the topic and the film. He picked ROM COMS, and picked the unlikely choice of “Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines,” directed by Ken Annakin. This film was such a blast to talk about and we enjoying singing the theme song all the way through. Come on this ridiculous journey with us as we talk about WHY this is a RomCom. The Mummy (1999) (REMAKES #3)
Snobbies! We have a special one for today. Today is Eric’s pick and he picked one his favorite films of all time when he was a kid, Stephen Sommers, “The Mummy” This episode is a lot of us talking about the Mummy, but even more of us talking about other random things haha. We enjoyed this adventure romp and Brendan has NEVER looked better. This was a fun one, hope you enjoy!

The Thing (1982) (REMAKES #2)
Snobbies! We’re back with Cody’s pick for REMAKES and this one is a stone cold classic. Kurt Russell has never been hotter?? Questions mark?? This remake is from a 1951 original called, “The Thing From Another World,” adapted from the 1938 novel, Who Goes There? WE WATCHED Director John Carpenter’s, “The Thing.” THIS. FILM. RULES!!! We had an absolute blast watching this film. Every once and a while, the Snobs watch a film that just makes us react. The Thing was more psychological than we thought and we loved talking through what makes us human? Who can we trust? What even was this film trying to say? One thing was for sure, this film had EPIC visual effects. Ooey, Gooey, gutsy, visual effects. Enjoy this legendary film

True Grit (2010) (REMAKES #1)
WELCOME BACK! WE’re back with a very special series….WE’RE DOING REMAKES! This week we have a very special guest…ERIC’S DAD RUSS! This episode was so fun. It was Caleb’s pick today and he decided to go with the remake of the original film from 1969….TRUE GRIT! This remake was made in 2010 and made by the Cohen Brothers. We talked about Russ’s top 4 films, all the crossovers, Matt Daemon in a truly iconic role, Josh Brolin’s voice, Steinfeld KILLING IT at 14 years old, and much much more. Fascinating
These guys actually know something about movies. It’s refreshing to hear people analyze a film film trying to understand the art for what it is rather than what they want it to be. Sometimes they go deep (One More Time With Feeling, Phantom Thread, Summer Hours) and sometimes they are bonkers (Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2, Chungking Express, A Goofy Movie). I’m a Snobbie for life.

I think that the men on this podcast are really good at talking and have many things to say about the frames in movies. Two of them deserve a nobel peace prize, one of them deserves the medal of freedom, and two of them really deserve a free hamburger at Burger King. FIVE STARS!!!1!1!!!
