Me and y’all and Mary J.

I loved your show on Mary J. The conversation got my heart rate up and I was dancing and agreeing in my high school classroom, teaching virtually. I am grateful.

Missy and Mary collaborated on No More Drama with the song Never Been (I believe Missy produced the track) and Mary sang on Missy’s Cookbook album. I may be late, but I wanted to pass on my MJB knowledge.

Passion AND knowledgeable geekiness!!!!

This podcast is well-produced and treads the line perfectly between being accessible for layperson music fans and technically geeky enough for musicians, producers, and industry folk. Toya’s excitement and love for the ins and outs of the craft of music is infectious!

The First Time I Heard Teena Marie...

Amazing. I have loved Teena Marie since the first time I heard “Behind the Groove” as a teen. Walking around my neighborhood with a piece of chalk and tagging the sidewalk “Samm as Lady Capricorn-Get Behind The Groove”. Corny, I know, but I was in love with her voice, her look, her liner notes, etc. When I met Tim Dillinger (via Teena Marie fan sites) we clicked. He was very knowledgeable about music, Teena and an awesome singer himself. I am overjoyed that you have chosen “my Girl” to feature on your podcast. I met her several times and she called me her “Boston Artist”, an honor I cherish to this day. She is missed every day. Continued blessings to you, Toya and Tim. Thank you!
