    On this episode, I answer a BURNING QUESTION I've been asked multiple times in the last few days, and probably 50+ times in the last year. The question is:

    "SHOULD I DO KETO + INTERMITTENT FASTING OR MACROS + INTERMITTENT FASTING FOR FAT LOSS?"

    I'll explain definitions (what each of these nutritional approaches are) and how they fit into someone's lifestyle, and later in the show, I'll break down my preferred approach as well.

    As a coach who teaches how to live a life of balance--a lifestyle you'll enjoy, my preferred approach is ALWAYS the approach with the least amount of restriction necessary.

    I always believe the best road is the one with least restriction, so start there, and add additional layers of restriction as necessary! I'll explain to you just how to do that in this episode!

    Do you struggle with fear, anxiety, and overwhelm when it comes to eating in social situations? What about holiday parties, happy hours, date night, or other situations of that sort? Do you find yourself anxious, feeling like you need to be all or nothing?

    For starters, you're not alone. That's very common, and there is a solution. The key is to LEAN INTO THAT FEAR AND ANXIETY rather than run from it! If you lean into it, rather than avoiding those situations, you'll encounter them more often, they'll become more familiar to you, and you'll become more comfortable in those situations. Once that all happens, you can get really good at managing balance inside of them!

    The Fit To Be Fierce Podcast welcomes its very first Orange Theory Fitness expert onto the show, as this week's episode features OTF Head Coach, Mike Dewar (IG: @dewinitbig). Mike is Head Coach of OTF Melbourne (Yes, AUSTRALIA!!).

    Since a lot of our listeners are OTF athletes, this was a fun discussion to record. For those who don't know what Orange Theory Fitness is, it's a group fitness training modality that focuses heart rate interval training, essentially a HIIT workout.

    My favorite episodes are those that promote mental health. This episode does just that, as we feature a recent discussion with NY Times Best-Selling Author, John Romaniello, about his personal experience with depression and multiple suicide attempts.

    If you know me, you probably know how passionate I am about mental health and suicide prevention, having lost my brother to suicide what feels like yesterday. This episode hits SO CLOSE TO HOME, as this man, a NY Times Best-Selling Author, shares how he, too, struggles to positively impact others who may be struggling or know someone who is.

    Aside from writing, John is a big mental health advocate, and he is the CEO of Roman Fitness. In this episode, he shares so much about his childhood, growing up, adulthood, and life as a successful business-owner, as well as the hurdles a lifetime of depression poses him with.
