    • How To

Podcasting, especially video podcasting, can be a great way to share your message with the world. There are so many things to learn and do, but it's hard to know where to start if you've never done it before.

Producing a podcast can initially seem daunting; it's easy to feel overwhelmed when starting something new. Using a Video First approach with Ecamm Live will make it much easier and save you lots of time.

The Flow is here to help. We'll take you step-by-step through creating a video podcast, from planning and production to promotion and monetization. You'll learn how to build an efficient workflow that will make your content shine, leaving you to focus on creating great content.

This week on The Flow, Katie is joined by Kiona Nessenbaum, host of the Birth As We Know It podcast dedicated to recognizing the many different ways birth unfolds. We're chatting with Kiona about how she started her podcasting journey, her recording process, and the questions she's had along the way.

Who is Kiona?

Kiona Nessenbaum lives in the PNW with her husband, Kumar, their three children, and two dogs. She loves to read and go on hikes when time allows, loves spending quality time with her family, and has a strong passion for all things birth.

Kiona has professionally experienced over 140 births as a student midwife, birth doula, and birth assistant. Unfortunately, she had to leave midwifery school in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. She plans on returning to midwifery school someday, but for now, she continues to practice as a doula for her loved ones.

Kiona is also the host of the Birth As We Know It podcast, which is dedicated to recognizing the many different ways birth unfolds. She is deeply interested in learning more about how unique birth is to each individual. Hearing this directly from the voices of those who have experienced it is an opportunity she doesn’t want to miss.
