Murder In The Mojave: The Case Of Barry & Louise Berman
In January of 1986, a husband and wife disappeared in the isolated wilderness of California's Mojave Desert. Barry, an heir to a liquor fortune, set out with his carefree and counterculture wife, Louise, for an excursion to Saline Valley. The couple drove off and away from their oasis campsite, only to never be seen again. Three years later a flashflood washed away layers of earth, bringing to the surface the remains of Barry and Louise.

Inside The Security Protocol Of The United States Secret Service
On Saturday July 13th, the nation stood still as news broke of an assassination attempt on former President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Mere moments after President Trump took the stage at a rally there, shots were fired from the top of a roof nearby, striking the former President’s right ear, killing a local firefighter, Corey Comperatore, and injuring two others.
The shooter, later identified by the FBI as 20-year-old, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed on the scene by United State Secret Service.

Bombshell New Filing In Karen Read Trial
Just one week after Judge Beverly Cannone declared a mistrial, Karen Read's defense team filed a motion to dismiss two of the charges filed against her. Claiming to have received "unsolicited communications" from three of the twelve jurors in the trial, Read's lawyers stated the jury reached a unanimous "agreement" to acquit her of the charges of second-degree murder and leaving the scene of an accident.

Closing The Cold Case Murder Of Estella Mena
All her life, Estella Mena was a guardian to those she loved. Driven, diligent, and fierce, the high school senior worked as a security guard at an office building in Sunnyvale, California. But on October 27th, 1979, Estella had no one to protect her but herself. While working her job, a man entered the office, attempted to sexually assault her, and stabbed her to death. For over 40 years, her murder went unsolved.
Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety Detective Matt Hutchison details the many twists and turns of Estella's case, even sharing why he became a trash collector for a day to uncover answers.

Emily is the best podcast host
Emily’s thoughtful questions are always wrapped in compassion and empathy. She is able to quietly listen while the guest responds without jumping in to follow up before they finish talking. At the end, Emily give her guests a heartfelt thank you and commends them for being brave, tenacious or having persevered in finding the truth. We should all have an Emily in our lives.
