Call to Worship: Psalm 107 (adapted) Responsive Reading

Leader:   Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.

People:   Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,whom he has redeemed from trouble

Leader:   Some of us wandered in a wilderness, others sat in darkness and in the shadow of death,

People:   Sometimes we were trapped in our sinful waysand rebelled against his counsel

Leader:   But whenever we cried out to the Lordhe delivered us from our distress.People:   He sent out his word and healed us,snatching us from the door of death.

Leader:   Let us praise the Lord for his great loveand for the wonderful things he has done for us.All:   Let us offer sacrifices of thanksgivingand sing joyfully about his glorious acts.

Scripture Reading: Titus 2:11-14 (NLT)

11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13 while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.
