To TED Or Not To TED? (AKA Injured By A Toilet)

On this week's episode of The Freenoter, we look at TED/TEDx talks - are they worth it for freenoters? What makes a great TED-style talk, and why they may or may not be right for you. We also look at one of the TEDxCambridge speakers Tamsen worked with, Andrew Lo, and what goes on behind the scenes during a TEDx event. #Truth

Maybe you're feeling < because you are seeing some big shot public speaker raking in cash like they Cardi B.

Maybe you giggle and pretend that you are too are Cardi B even though your entire business model doesn't need to depend on speaking for stage $$$ (the money you get for getting on stage).

Maybe you don't even really see yourself as a public speaker because you really run an agency, lead a team, or create online courses -- but you get invited to talk about them in front of people.

The speaking "industry" is full of creative business models -- and every speaker and every speech has to determine what works. But there hasn't been a resource for that -- until now.

Tamsen and Tom BREAK.IT.DOWN on each episode so that we can figure out how speaking fits into a business model that isn't reliant upon stage $$$. They are fun. They are thoughtful. They are smart. And they know their way around a cocktail shaker.
