Who Am I? What's the Cure to BurnOut and How do I Find Purpose? and Other Important Questions--and Answers--with Mayda Pac, International Coach to Professionals and Other OverAchievers The Fully Mindful with Melissa Chureau

Who am I if I’m not a lawyer, a CEO, a doctor, in finance, a chef, a restauranteur? That’s the question that so many of us have asked ourselves—and are terrified of the answer. But how can I go on, day after day, with so much stress, so much pressure—and not just pressure the job puts on me, but the pressure I put on myself to succeed? In so many cultures—including western culture—there is emphasis on career success, and we have learned—and given kudos for—to work harder and harder and harder. And don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with working hard or being ambitious or wanting to succeed. But where things unravel is when we focus so much on this success, so much on our jobs, that we lose our sense of the whole self, lose our relationships, maybe even lose ourselves. And that’s what happened to today’s guest, Mayda Pac. She spent 16 years in high finance, from Paris, to London, to Wall Street. And she excelled. And she pushed herself to the point of ignoring cancer for 2 years and passing out on the street. And even that did not stop her. She still had deals to do.It was only when she had a moment of clarity that she took the terrifying leap of leaving her career in high finance, knowing what to do with her life at all. But she knew that if she didn’t take that leap, she might not be so lucky next time.Listen in to this conversation, where Mayda candidly tells her story and how she ended up where she is today, along with many, many pearls of wisdom that will undoubtedly resonate for you today.Find out more about Mayda:https://maydapoccoaching.com/about/mayda@maydapoccoaching.com Free meditation for Serenity at Work: https://maydapoccoaching.com/free-resources/Instagram: @MaydaPocLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/mayda-poc-coaching/Find out more about Melissa and The Fully Mindful:https://www.thefullymindful.comLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/melissa-chureau-a8763810/--- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/melissa060/support
