Helpful, Smooth, Fun
Brian and Ike are great hosts, and have great voices for podcasting.
Their talk is full of their experience, and has a good balance between theory and practical tips, in my opinion. Also with a good amount of cheesy silliness to oil the drab parts!
Shame that this podcast is over, but thankful for the episodes we have!
Awesome and Helpful (Read Entire Review)
I was bored playing a game on my phone at 4am and decided to look at podcasts that deal with game developing (as I’m currently learning and deciding whether it will be my career path) and just listening to a few episodes have already helped me so much with how to perceive certain things, think of new ideas, tips to overcome obstacles (both current and future), and much more. It also gives me an insight as to what it’s like to be a developer on a 9-5 level, as well as an indie game owner-developer.
Unfortunately I was very sad to realize (through old references and such) that this podcast ended in 2016! I have yet to decide whether I will continue to listen to the older episodes, as I don’t know if the knowledge will be too old to pertain to current development strategies.
I understand and heard in one of the podcasts that (at least one of you) was in your late 30’s at the time of the podcast (a 2015 one I believe), so I understand if this is part of the reason you guys aren’t doing these anymore. But if you’re still doing similar activities, please consider continuing this series. It is very helpful, and I know I’m not the only one!
But, I recommend this podcast to anyone who is interested in game developing, either as a career, hobby, or just a general interest. It is also a great way to learn on-the-go! Whether you’re in the bathroom, driving, can’t sleep, etc! Podcasts are a great feature and trend right now, and this one definitely belongs! Thank you guys for what content you have already put out!
I miss you guys so much...
New episodes please!
