Insomniac On Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales' Cinematic Action And Characters

In this Game Informer podcast extra, we interview several members of the Insomniac team who helped develop Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. We speak with creative director Brian Horton, game director Cameron Christian, and art director Jason Hickey about how they worked to include the suit from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and why their combat looks so cinematic. About halfway through the interview we issue a spoiler warning so we can talk about the story and why Insomniac changed a few popular comic characters.

For a detailed breakdown on both systems please read our Xbox Series X/S review and PlayStation 5 review, but in this special-edition podcast, we have a more informal discussion about the new hardware, how each system performs, and what we think of their respective controllers. We also talk a bit about exciting next-gen ready games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. So join Jeff Cork, Matt Miller, Andrew Reiner, Brian Shea, Alex Stadnik, and me for a rousing console discussion.

A great video game podcast

There is a full forth effort to put on the best show they can put on. I like the segments, I like the personalities, and I trust their opinions.

Kind of “meh” since Andy

This show misses Andy. The conversations lack focus. They seem to have dropped gaming news discussions. Not a fan of the interviews. Why does Liana need to giggle constantly? Hoping the crew will get back to the higher quality of the show overtime.

Hate to say it but

Less Blake already
