Top hats, Monocles, and Yellow Eyes

I have never really been into podcasts. Over the years many a friend has tried to get me to listen to their faves to little avail. That was before I stumbled upon this amazing creation. The Gayly Prophet is inciteful and funny and proves that you can both love something and be critical of it. I was hooked from the first episode and each subsequent episode has been equally splendid!

Fantastic perspective

This is such enjoyable listening. They really get the format figured out, and you’ll be very pleased. They led me to “Witch, Please,” which is now another favorite of mine. “The Quibbler” and “The Real Weird Sisters” are two equally enjoyable and informed Pottercasts, but they don’t have a Queer or POC perspective. I’m so glad The Gayly Prophet decided to go chapter-by-chapter: I’m eager to keep listening! I would also love them to split the book finale recaps and the movie recaps. To Jessie and Lark, thank you so much for sharing your perspectives with us! I’ve wanted to make a HP podcast for a long time, and I wish I had friends like you to do it with me. For now I am perfectly happy to listen along.

Listen! (And look at their brilliant visual content!)

This is a delightfully queer, critical read of HP. Lark and Jessie have a delightful dynamic — their friendship is a joy to behold! Their treatment of HP is self-admittedly #ruthless, but also hilarious and important. Also, ALSO, go to their website/socials to bask in the glory of their brilliant visual content. Be prepared for adorable pet pics, hilarious memes, and beautiful, original comics that correspond with each episode.
