Penny and Addie dug themselves out of nearly two feet of snow to bring you this special Black History Month episode of the Rad Women Pod! So grab a warm blanket and a cup of hot cocoa and settle in to learn some new things about two of our favorite Chicagoans: Michelle Obama and Mae Jemison.

Stick around for the Joke Corner, where the girls share some hilarious submissions from listeners, and consider pitching in to support their Girl Scouts service project benefitting the local food pantry.

The girls are back!

In Episode 3, Penny and Addie will teach you about a couple of really rad kids. Tune in to learn a little about Molly, Gracie and Daisy, Aboriginal freedom fighters from Australia, and Ruby Bridges, an American icon.

They also do their first ever live interview with Drea Eisenberg, a metallurgical engineer, prolific knitter, and all around Rad Woman.

Stick around to the end and catch a sales pitch for Girl Scout cookies. Both proud members of Brownie Troop 65113, Penny and Addie are selling cookies -- and doing it for a good cause.

In episode 2, Penny and Addie turn their focus to a couple prize-winning women. Tune in to learn a little about the Nobel Prize and two of its most famous winners: Malala Yousafzai and Marie Curie. The girls also discuss the most disgusting foods they've ever eaten and try to get some laughs with the second installment of the Girls' Guide to Rad Women Joke Corner.

In the show's inaugural episode, 2nd graders Penny and Addie discuss their Rad Women. This episode, Penny chooses Indian Queen Rani Lakshmibai while Addie chooses to highlight the first woman in space, Valentina Tereshkova. 

Later in the show, the girls discuss the books they're currently reading and share a few of their favorite jokes.
