EPISODE 40: Oscar Lopez (Gridiron Beauties) - Women's Tackle Football The Globally Ballin Podcast

    • Sports

For this week, we were blessed to have our guest, Oscar Lopez join us. Oscar Lopez is the head of a media outlet entitled, “Gridiron Beauties.” Gridiron Beauties is an outlet that spotlights the best women’s tackle football as well as the best women’s tackle football athletes around the world. In the past, we talked with the owner of the Seattle Spartans of the WFA, Nicole Pelham. During that interview (episode 25), we took a more specific look at women’s tackle football by specifically looking at the Seattle Spartans, and using them as a “case study” of sorts. For this episode, we broaden the look of women’s tackle football. Oscar Lopez of Gridiron Beauties is perfect for this. Gridiron beauties takes a look at all the opportunities in this sport around the world. So, after we received great feedback from our interview with Nicole Pelham, we knew that we needed to get another guest to talk about the same topic, but we wanted to broaden it up. So, instead of looking at one team in one league, in our discussion with Mr. Lopez, we talk about the different leagues, the many different teams spanning both the country and the globe, and even compare the indoor and outdoor opportunities. We hope you enjoy this more broadened look at women’s tackle football around the world.

A special thank you is in order to our guest this week Oscar Lopez. Also, thank you to our sponsors and partners, Stanley Customs (Instagram @stanley_customs) as well as Creating Young Minds and the Lewisville Yellowjackets of TBL. Also, thank you listeners for all of your support. Your support is the reason we are able to continue this.
