S3E4 Christian Longo Part 4- interview with Author Lena Derhally
As we wrap up our series on Christian Longo we thought it would be a great idea to include the interview we did with the author of "My Daddy is a Hero", Lena Derhally. We taped this in 2021 but had not had a chance to release it yet. Originally we had planned to kick season 3 off with a series on Chris Watts but we just felt that case was well played out and picking a family annihilator that maybe not everyone knows about would be much more effective. So, while our chat with Lena does focus a lot on Chris much of what we talk about can be applied to these types of killers.

S3E1- Christian Longo Part 1- Loving Father or Narcissistic Sociopath
Welcome back to season 3 of The Good Wives Guide to True Crime. We haven't been here in such a long time and we can't wait to share everything we have planned for this season. We'll be covering 8 cases this year and then one season finale with another head-to-head on Darlie Routier.
Tonight is the first of 4 episodes on the Christian Longo case. Christian was a young husband and father of three who struggled with his faith and wanted a more lavish lifestyle than he was willing to put the work in for. He brutally murdered his wife and all three kids and then fled to Mexico. The first episode is our four-part series for each case will break down just the main details of each case. So, sort of like your Dateline or 20/20 episode. The next 3 episodes will be all the Good Wives discussing a variety of topics from the case. We'll also have a blog component for each one and we'll try and include an expert or involved person's interview.

Could be great. Just a piece of constructive criticism - when you have a great guest like Sheryl Mac, let her talk. Find out what she knows. You spent way too much time about what you do, think, and feel, your past, etc. Take a breath and let your guest talk.
Too long
These episodes do not need to be this long. Too much small chat and not enough about subject at hand. Stay on point. And the mocking of Louisianaians accent with their “recipes” isn’t funny—it’s insulting and you are lucky the people you are mocking aren’t black.
wasted potential
sooooo much info, so much potential. and insanely involved in the Gypsy case. but so much lost potential…. the audio is atrocious. but i just wish they would take aaaaaall this info, and present it in a professional, structured and easy to follow show. it just feels like listening to a conference call going over notes. it’s confusing. and just so much wasted potential. which is so sad the amount of info is fascinating but it’s so hard to listen to
