The discussion has changed a lot! Check my X/Twitter feed and you see an abundance of posts about busted cover-ups and calls for accountability and so forth. There are even doctors who claim they spoke up but that their communications were suppressed. Those we know of, who survived, continue to work for health, truth and justice. The court system while terribly slow, does promise some redress. Similarly, at a local convention, at the booth for a vaccine choice group, the people who came by were saying very different things than years ago. Maybe only 3 or 4 years ago, people would come with heart wrenching horror stories. Others would be fresh to the consideration. Today, most were welcoming the newsletter sign-up so they could make their voices heard at the legislature. Some smiled and said "We don't vaccinate," as they passed by. One nurse said she just knew something was off because she had been told in nursing school that vaccine take a long time to test. Another said she was torn, that as a mother she was with us, but as a nurse, not. When I kindly suggested she could now read professional literature, now available on Pubmed, so she didn't have to wonder, she said, no, she didn't wonder. In 3 days that was 1 of the only 2 negative remarks? Things have changed. Today, I recap. Some, surprisingly don't know. They have limited access to news and limited experience in critical thinking. Effective Trauma Therapy

Dr. Lendell Braud, Ph.D. brings us report of effective trauma therapy. After a career of teaching at Texas Southern and working with traumatized and at risk children both in private practice and in partnership with several charity organization, she is now working with veteran residential treatment centers around the country. Please hear her time-tested ideas. Please hear her "guided imagery" as a way to walk people of any stripe toward hearing from and communing with God. Acknowledge that because she is a psychologist, working with public universities and a wide range of people, that she is not permitted to use religious language. GSB Celebrates Independence Day

It is a good day to celebrate: we took liberty in a responsible way. Not with rebellion, but based on agreed upon Biblical priniciples. Yes! it has been said that the Battle of Concord was won at Hasting. In other words, Englishmen had to respect the principles that the American were fighting upon because both were Christian. It is a foundational understanding that liberty, freedom, and prosperity came along with adherence to Biblical Christianity. No other culture thru time and space has brought us such. Only the gospel. It is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance. Non-Christians, by contrast are socialized into bad behavior or simply revert to it. Stealing, murder, rape, slavery -- these things are either winked at or else directly taught by other religions. A well-educated young man from well-intentioned parents wrote me that he thought a Christian government would be repressive! I was shocked to tears all day. So, his favored secular communism would be less repressive? Since when has that ever happened? Or maybe the Jihadi one that is just about to come in on top of what we have now? (As if an open border was just the usual cheap labor and not an invitation to sleeper cells!) Look, how could a Christian government be repressive? To whom would be be repressive? Only to the worst more unrepentant criminals. And he said this in relation to .... just a moderate candidate.... maybe conservative but really only against crime and sex slavery. How can one slip from that to .... Christian government? Well, I know his family. He goes to an Episcopal church that fences the table against Christians. LIterally. They say if you believe that Jesus in the only way to salvation or right living, you may not come to communion. Lord help us, we are infiltrated by traitors. Let's get back to our roots. So today, we talk about the New England Primer. It taught students to read better and faster and cheaper than any method we have today. But the content!!!!

Detox Introduction for Mothers with Reference to Children

Detox is extremely important today, and is beginning to be discussed as it should be, but nothing so far has been said about children and detox. So, here goes -- just a toe in the water and a pointing to other sources. Generally, we have known for a long time that autism is a toxicity problem. There is at least one professional clinic that does chelation (IV) therapy for children. I asked for an interview many years ago and got a nose sniff! Even though, I previously had had Dr. Wakefield on??? DK Generally, you don't want to haul off and do any kind of detox for children that you would for an adult. An adult can fast, but you should not ask a child to fast. But, on the other hand, generally the same advice holds. Prevent toxic input. Then, many food substances work gently to detox. If further detox is desire, see professional help of study further. Generally, or often, one divides dosages by weight -- and nothing before a child can talk back to you and tell you want is going on. Unless you would normally feed that to a child anyway. I remember when my daughter was high chair age and having diarrhea. The medical establishment couldn't see her for 6 weeks. I figured that was not reasonable, so I fed her thyme on her scrambled eggs, and we had no more problems. I guess in this story the diarrhea was the detox and the thyme was the medicine, but you get the general idea. I knew that the thyme wouldn't hurt her and the 6 weeks would. Not affiliated with : 1. Screen addictions : Something NOT to do this Summer

SUMMER ACTIVITIES Usually we have lots of interest in an episode about activities to do with children during the summer. This week, we sort of extended that to focus on discussions having to do with better thinking. (See product in "shop" for more of this.) Now, this week, I am running a re-run from all the way back in 2008. A young man shared his experience with gaming. Then in 2017, it was popular again. I think a gaming group swarmed through. While the problem with screen addiction is not just gaming, we increasingly are finding that too much screens are a problem. Boys might like games. (Overlooked way too much. Get out in the sun with a ball and a friend!) Youth are susceptible to grooming and bad company over the internet. (Intentional depredation.) Men have long since recognized that they are vulnerable to porn. (Intentional slavery.) Even older women, ahem, ma like too much the news. Too much damages our eyes. Too much warps our view of the world. Too much keeps us from doing other things with PEOPLE face to face. TESTIMONIES OF CHALLENGES AND TRIUMPHS So, let me share a testimony for 20 more than 15 years ago. I think it may still help. He was homeschooled. He had his parents fooled. Similarly, a rather famous Bible teacher found that his son was near death on drugs and his daughter had been depredated sexually online. In his home. With two attentive parents! Fortunately, both of his children weathered their storm and work in his ministry now. It can happen to anyone. Learn secondhand! Summer Thinking Activity

SOMETHING TO DO THIS SUMMER Thinking skills could be a curricula. If you want that, let me know. Every year one of our most popular episodes is this one: what to do with your children during the summer. This year, I have listed 8 categories of things to do. Extend learning! Have fun! Have meaningful fun! School is not organized to inculcate thinking, reasoning. Often History is given short shrift. Hands-on realia can not be had. And nothing in school is much fun. Victory for your child. Today's concerns may be different diagnoses, but the concern from parents is similar. At wit's end. Turn to God. God does want total well-being for all children. The world is broken. Our children have been assaulted, some directed, but all from environmental influences. We do what we can, but we need help, and wisdom from God. God Wants Total Well-Being for All Children

"God Wants Total Well-Being for All Children" is my normal outtro line. If God wants total-well-being, then God wants healing for your children. Let's consider that a little today. Now, I also say all the time "I believe in healing, and I will take it any way it comes." This means that I believe in miracles. I pray for miracles. We need miracles. We see miracles. Miracles are instantaneous healings. But healing can come over time. I will take that. Some times great healing takes place in lives and finances and learning through other graces, like love and wisdom mediate through people. Like maybe God will send someone with a word of wisdom or a talent in innovated education. I will take that too! Any way it comes! Total bodily health starts with how God made things. So wisdom in living is useful. Even the Bible says that exercise is of some value. I am grateful for what honest researchers can find out and what honest helpers can do. But there are times when we need a breakthrough of God reaching out soveriegnly, I am willing to go after that. Since we see this fairly often, all the more we should learn how to better go after that, yes? Let's consider this matter.

Something CAN be Done! Engage!

Sometimes we feel overwhelmed. Sometimes we feel scared, too timid to do anything.Sometimes we are confused about what is the right thing to do. Sometimes we are sleepy. Sometimes we are discouraged. Sometimes we are tired. Sometimes we are distracted by our addictions. Sometimes then, we are overwhelmed. TIME TO PULL OURSELVES OUT OF WHATEVER MUD WE ARE STUCK IN! Let's engage our faith for a better future for our children. For better children. The greatest legacy we leave is what we leave IN our children. But so often, we are under the circumstances. When our arms are weighed down, often we have to lift our hearts first. This is a call to envision better. To believe for better. That is the way... and then THE LORD has a container to fill. It is HE would will give our arms strength -- even strength beyond what we can imagine. But first, let us lift up our eyes. Better can happen. We can fly up. First, we have to stop aiming down. "Nothing can be done," is a lie. It seems like it is comfort, but really, it is enslaving! SOMETHING CAN BE DONE! Lift up your eyes. Engage your faith!
