The unofficial, irreverent and filthy aftershow for all the new Star Trek television: Discovery, Picard, Lower Decks, Short Treks, and anything else they throw at us. Each Tuesday after a new episode of Star Trek, Adam and Ben recap and review while making each other laugh. Check out our other show, The Greatest Generation, a Star Trek podcast by a couple of guys who are a little bit embarrassed to have a Star Trek podcast!
CSI: Deep Space Nine (DS9: Too Long A Sacrifice part 1)
When Odo searches for the truth about the latest murder on DS9, Jumja sticks aren't the only sticky situations on the promenade. But when Adam and Ben realized they have to split this story into two episodes—the sleuthing goes deep when the magnifying glasses inspect this comic book! It's the episode that opens the airlock, but no one gets blown out... yet!
In Media Scrape (Picard: The Dark Veil & Robert Petkoff)
When the Trek off-season continues, Adam and Ben check out a book that tells them the tale of Titan-era Riker and his family. But when a special interview from Robert Petkoff—the voice of the audiobook—presents itself, your hosts can't help but ask him all their dying questions about voicing their favorite characters. Will three media-moguls be sent out an airlock? What does young Kirk sound like? Why wasn't there more pizza in this book? It's the episode that gives you twice the flavor with zero pages!
Wake and Black Mirror (USS Callister Black Mirror S4E1)
When a timid tech CTO lives in his own universe, a new hire breaks the monotony of the gaming day-to-day. But when an evil software mod allows for co-worker-clones to do the CTO's bidding, we learn that online people can be way different than their IRL counterparts. Does the crew live on when the servers die? How many crew members are aboard the Callister? What's that dot? It's the episode that will give you nightmares and a thrilling space adventure!
Big Shat Energy (Trek SNL Sketches)
When the wait for new episodes continues, Adam and Ben decide to explore all the Star Trek sketches that have appeared on SNL. But when these time capsule trek moments are streamed it leaves your hosts wanting more power diverted to the blenders! Does SNL need more Trek? Who does the best Spock? How much relish is enough? It's the episode that gives you all the action too funny for space!
Carl's Hole (TOS S1E28)
When TGD has jumped to the off-season, Adam and Ben steady themselves and look through Carl's Hole. But when this classic episode of Star Trek the Original Series reveals more than just time travel your hosts must commit to the past in order to save the future. Is Spock now a hat guy? Can Kirk shut down some more jerks? Will we see our crew skip again? It's the episode where we learn our friends were the holes we met along the way!
The Larkin Awards (Discovery Season 3)
When Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 is over with no clear path to new Trek— Ben and Adam throw an awards ceremony with guests from all over the When Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 is over with no clear path to new Trek— Ben and Adam throw an awards ceremony with guests from all over the Uxbridge-Shimodaverse! Who is T'Kuvma wearing? Will issues of tact be awarded? Who will take home the most Larkins? It's an episode that's fully aware of live award show protocols!

I appreciate the little stuff like providing the links to the SNL sketches. Y’all rock!
So Much Better than H8 Watching Discovery
I’m not a fan of Discovery, and I haven’t seen Picard or Lower Decks, but I am a fan of Ben and Adam's Greatest Generation podcast so I thought I’d give TGD a try.
Totally worth it. I’m especially enjoying their eps on TOS and TAS eps. It’s the same mix of humor and insightful commentary that makes GG so much fun.
It’s a fun listen, and far less painful than H8 watching Discovery. However, if you like/love Discovery, Picard, Lower Decks and TOS this may be an even better fit of a Star Trek podcast for you (check out Greatest Generation too).
Hm. I wonder what Adam and Ben’s favorite TOS episodes have been so far?
Essential viewing for Trek completists
My only note for the show is that the (otherwise excellent!) theme song by Adam Ragusea has gotten more and more incorrect as the show has progressed. No reason not to give this pod the full five stars!
