THE HALCYON ARCHIVES Episode 19 presents NYC dance music pro DJ and nightlife renaissance man KERVYN MARK, serving up a delicious set of deep house, afro-brazilian and soulful and spiritual grooves, recorded live at the original Halcyon at 227 Smith Street in Brooklyn on November 25, 2003.  Featuring tracks from Roy Ayers, Marlena Shaw, Ananda Project, Fertile Ground, Marvin Gaye and much more, this exclusive set showcases the signature style and masterful magic of Melting Pot NYC founder and underground dance music vet Kervyn Mark.

Brooklyn native KERVYN MARK has been spinning around NYC since the early days of hip-hop, through the legendary Manhattan nightlife eras of the Paradise Garage, Danceteria and Suzanne Bartsch's famed club Sauvage, where he reigned as its first resident DJ.  Since his early days as a club maverick, Mark has spun all over the world as well as in his hometown, with notable guest spots at Body & Soul, Bang The Party and PS1 Warm-Up, to name a few.

Kervyn's artists and DJ collective "Melting Pot NYC" has been a stalwart of the city's underground dance music community for nearly three decades.  As a DJ, event producer, filmmaker and historian, Kervyn is still killing it today - follow him @djkervynmark on Instagram and find more of his masterful mixes on his Soundcloud page.
