"I've got the JOY, JOY, JOY down in my heart. WHERE?!? Down in my heart!" Remember that song? That lovely Sunday School song. It is the closest thing I had experienced to understanding joy. My life has been rifled with trauma and really hard things, but coming to understand and trusting who God is has been so effective in understanding the concept of "consider it all joy" from James 1:2 - having joy doesn't necessarily mean happiness, and having joy in our closest relationships can be darn out challenging.
