Why It's So Hard to Get Guard and Sweep Data

Why It's So Hard to Get Guard and Sweep Data

We get it. Data on the guards and sweeps that competitors use would be invaluable. And while we've done some, there are some natural roadblocks to recording these things. But the silver lining is, there may be a lesson for us in the explanation.

Endgame Theory And How To Use It

Endgame Theory And How To Use It

IBJJF, and often our teammates and coaches, tell us what positions we should be striving for. The hierarchy puts mount and the back at the top. They're the default endgame of BJJ. Until they're not. Truthfully, as we progress in our journey we find our own endgame positions where we are likely to submit opponents. How can we build a game around achieving endgame positions?

Bringing science to a martial art

This podcast can change the way you practice Jiujitsu. Everyone has an opinion, but Louis has observations based on research. I haven’t encountered any other resource like the High Percentage podcast, and I’m sharing it with anyone who wants to improve how they learn Jiujitsu.

Great Resource!

I’ve been training BJJ for about a year now and it’s safe to say that my game is very far from a polished product. I find this podcast a really helpful resource for a relative noob like myself, and it’s helped me realize what I should focus on. Heard about this new pod on a recent BJJ Brick episode and highly recommend it.
