More than just camping...

Great podcast! It's mostly about outdoor recreation, but tends to take it to a philosophical level. They get political, too, and their not afraid to voice their opinions on everything. Even if I disagree, they are likable, and funny. I actually find myself agreeing with much of their rash libertarian rants. Oh my!

Great mix of the outdoors, politics, and comedy!

The Hinterland does a great job of covering off-roading, survival tactics and gear, and some spicy political topics. What I like is that these guys are not about chroming out their new fender flares on their Mall Crawlers; they get out there on the trails, get muddy, get stuck, and actually have real adventures! What's cool too is they use their adventures as a platform to discuss political ideas that are well off the mainstream, but presented in a way that is thoughtful and usually, very entertaining. Oh, and they wrote a love song to a 90's Toyota Pickup. I'm sold.

Fills a cool niche in the podcast world

I love this podcast! Ryan and Ian are such a hoot while also providing a lot of practical information about a variety of topics. I think the news articles are a nice touch so listeners can further their knowledge of the discussion points. From the entertaining banter to the gear review segment, this podcast leaves listeners chomping at the bit for the next installment. I have learned a lot already and can't wait to see what's next. Oh, and great music, guys!
