My New Favorite

I told my husband while trying to fall asleep 2 nights ago that I wanted to listen to a podcast that talked about the gilded age or about high society. He asked why I would do a thing like that? I ended up playing this podcast and I couldn’t fall asleep because I found it so intriguing. In two days I’ve listened to the episodes on Audrey Hepburn, Coco Chanel, Jackie Kennedy, both Gilded episode and more. I hope you ladies do an episode on Grace Kelly & Zelda Fitzgerald any high society extravagant females, because it’s been my summer obsession so far reading all about the rich and famous and this gives my eyes a nice break. I’ve been listening on my walks in the gardens here in Europe & on my drive to my antique dealer. Thank you for the wonderful content! It’s the perfect addition to my day!

Bor-ing...

These two “chicks” go off on tangents for-ever. They must have some attention deficit disorder or something. I mean, come on! They are like two teenagers trying to explain something. And they include details that cannot possibly be known. They say what they “think” happened and state it as fact. So annoying. And basically they seem to be reading the Wikipedia page on the topic and throw in their goofy mindless chatter. And CORNY. They definitely entertain each other. But not me. I could not possibly get through another one of their podcasts. I’m unsubscribing as soon as I finish this review. Nor will I be recommending anyone else listen to this drivel. One other thing that bugged me-they laugh and giggle and make jokes while discussing some horrible part of a story. Ugh! Good riddance. Do yourself a favor and SKIP THIS ONE. There’s so many great podcasts out there. Why listen to two women holding a conversation with each other, probably tossing back some cheap wine, discussing historical topics while acting as though they know something about it. Read the wiki, embellish it with drivel, make corny jokes, invoke their own spin until it’s so distorted it resembles nothing like actual history.

Wonderful story telling, and so entertaining you’ll forget that you’re learning!

Susan and Beckett are lively, entertaining, and so well versed. They do extensive research with ample recommendations of books, websites, media to learn more about their person of interest and ask for help when they want to know more about something! Their refreshing look at women in history has me interested in history now more than ever, and I’m thrilled to have such a wife variety of women in history to chose from based on what I’m in the mood to listen to that day. They have something for everyone! Highly recommended 💙
