Kit Patrick is the best !

I am a history buff. I have listened to a lot of history podcasts on topics ranging from Rome and Britain to China. This is by far the best podcast. Kit Patrick’s love for Indian history is apparent. His knowledge is complemented by a really fun and likeable personality. Kit rocks!

Great podcast...

Great podcast. Kit has a lot of enthusiasm for the subject. The format is for each season to cover a period of Indian history, then to have several "extra" episodes labeled by letters that go more off-topic, providing background, cultural information for the time period or so forth. As an American familiar only with western history (Greece/Rome/etc), I find the interactions between Greece and India pariticularly interesting. If you are not familiar with Indian history at all going in (as was my case), I highly recomment bookmarking the Wikipedia "History of India" webpage and referring to it frequenty, especially in the first season when you are just getting the geography down.

Very Well Done

One of the best topic-specific history podcasts around. The treatment of ancient history is complete and reflects contemporary findings. Lots of fun, easy to listen to.
