Podcast for the normies
Aug 27
I just want to thank you all for putting out a pod for the Jesus-following normies of the world. I was raised in a strict evangelical tradition in the south. 2016 was a spiritual gut punch. I began to educate myself in the years that have followed. I have become painfully aware of the influence that power, money, and misogyny have had on my lifelong faith tradition. I’ve realized that I cannot speak about certain things with my own mother. It’s pretty heartbreaking. I will always consider myself to be a follower of Jesus, even if using the label of “Christian” gives me a little bit of the ick these days due to the MAGA stain that has dirtied so many in our faith. Thank you guys for speaking truth. Thank you for refusing to be drowned out by the loud angry voices.
Phil is a subversive

Phil is a radical leftist and a subversive, profiting off of the naïveté of mothers who trusted veggie tales to be a safe show for their kids.
I love the Holy Post
Aug 30
I’ve been listening to this podcast for the past couple of years. My faith has gone through growth the past 4-5 years, and increasingly I have found myself as a Christian with no political or evangelical home. I find myself somewhere in the “middle/moderate” of so many extreme opinions, and often the Holy Post has resonated with my own thoughts and observations. I’ve read some of the criticisms aimed at THP, and I just want to say - I LOVE Phil. I love his banter and humor, and if it wasn’t for him the show would get way too serious, way too fast, all of the time. Don’t get me wrong - I love the whole team, but appreciate Phil. His humor and banter with Skye and Kaitlyn is what keeps me coming back. They tackle current events, but do it with some levity. Thank God. If I want to listen to serious, depressing news I can just turn on my tv. Do I agree with everything they say theologically or politically? Absolutely not. But I appreciate their attempt to tackle hard issues.
#632 on Pro Life stance

You did say the goal is to have less abortions, but left out the fact that abortions have increased since Dobbs was enacted. (See Gutmacher etc). In actual fact, number of abortions went down during Obama & Biden. Now they have increased dramatically, while gun violence has also increased! Why not tell the whole story??
