    06. 6 Time Management Tips for Homemakers in Business

Click for full show notes here!

As a homemaker in business, time is your most precious resource. I know it can feel hard, but if you can learn to manage your time better, then all the other hard parts of life get to feel a little easier. I know there are a ton of podcasts, blog posts, books, and entire companies that are talking about time management. But for me, talking in generalizations doesn’t help me to apply those tips to my own life. Actual real-life examples from real-life women doing the thing are what help me. So if that helps you too, keep listening because I’m about to give you many real-life examples!

The 6 tips I’ll discuss today are

    Time blocking

    Batching

    Timers

    Digital calendar

    Schedule rest

    Decide your limit

This episode is part 2 of How to Use Trends in Your Content Marketing. If you haven’t listened to episode #4 - part 1 of this episode - I’d like to encourage you to go back and listen to it. To give you a quick rundown of that episode though, we talked about platforms to consider for your content marketing and content marketing trends. This included topics like AI, short-form videos, and UGC creators. It was a really interesting conversation and one that complements today’s episode well, which is why it’s a 2-part series, ha!

But today we will be covering trends in my wheelhouse - graphic design. In case you skipped the intro or don’t know much about me, I’m a brand and Showit website designer, so you’ll get to hear me geek out over fun things like colors and fonts, and textures.

I asked my audience on Instagram what topics they wanted to hear discussed on the podcast and one of the overwhelming responses was how to use trends in your content marketing. This is a HUGE topic with a lot of information so I’ll do my best to break it down into bite-sized chunks. In fact, after outlining this episode it became pretty clear that I needed to break this up into 2 episodes!

So on today’s episode, I’ll cover 2 sections:

Platforms to consider using for your content marketing
    Content marketing trends.

I’ll go over graphic design trends in the next episode, episode number 5 so check it out next to continue the conversation!

8 Ways to Support Your Friend’s Small Business When You Aren’t a Business Owner

8 Ways to Support Your Friend’s Small Business When You Aren’t a Business Owner

Click for full show notes here!

This episode is for a couple of different people. Those without businesses that want to support their friend or family member that does have a business. And those with businesses that want an easy way to share with their friends and family how they can support them. This is a pretty nuanced topic and can have a ton of variation depending on what type of business someone owns, so I’ll primarily be talking about (B2B) business-to-business… businesses, lol. So businesses who sell their products or services to other businesses, not to everyday consumers. I think this will be a fun discussion so let’s get started!
