    What your child's test scores are really telling you |157

    Have you ever looked at your child's test scores and thought... "Should I be worried?" "Is this just a learning gap...or could it be something more?" If so, homeschool mom, you're not alone. Many homeschool parents receive assessment results that leave them with more questions than answers. It's easy to swing to one extreme—either ignoring concerning scores or assuming a diagnosis based on one test. In this episode, we explain why neither response is helpful and how to confidently use test scores as a tool to better understand your child's unique learning needs. You'll learn how to interpret your child's test scores without fear, recognize patterns that deserve a closer look, and determine practical next steps when results raise questions. In this episode, we discuss: ✔️ What homeschool testing can—and can't—tell you about your child's learning ✔️ When it may be appropriate to pursue additional homeschool evaluations such as achievement testing, dyslexia screening, psychoeducational testing, or vision and hearing screenings ✔️ How to replace fear and uncertainty with confidence and a practical plan   One of our favorite reminders from this episode is this: The goal isn't to collect test scores.
