WNBA 2024 Draft Picks, Orange Carpet Lewks, and Caitlin Clark's Rookie Salary

The WNBA had its moment this week with the 2024 draft class, talk of expansion, and the outrage sparked by number one draft pick Caitlin Clark's rookie salary. Liz and Karen recap the first seven picks of the first round of draftees in the 2024 WNBA draft. They also breakdown some of the fashions and fashion brands that were worn by the rookie players on the Orange carpet, includcing Caitlin Clark being the first draftee in both WNBA and NBA to be dressed by Prada, and Alissa Pili's paying tribute to her Samoan-American heritage with the tribal symbols. Finally! A sports podcast I love to listen to!

I am a big basketball fan but so many sports podcasts are either boring or bro-fests. You have no idea how refreshing it has been to discover Hoops Off! Not only are Liz and Karen hilarious, but their blend of sports talk, culture and comedy, and their special love of women’s basketball is the icing on the cake. I look forward to this show every Friday!!

Lifts my spirits

Great vibes, and smart commentary about so many topics. Plus, excellent one-liners. Hang out with these two and you’ll feel like you’ve gained a couple new friends, and raised your daily dose of laughter. Good people, true sports fans, thoughtful humans.

Great takes and lots of fun

This is a great podcast that lends a fun and insightful perspective to any hoops discussion. Wait till you hear Liz’s take on the problems around the All-Star game and how Draymond Green could solve it. Looking forward to more learning around the WNBA as well.
