In February of 2018, Rachael’s husband Micah was murdered in the line of duty. Micah was shot while protecting fellow police officers and citizens who came under fire during the arrest of a car thief. Micah left Rachael, and their seven year old twins, behind in his act of heroism. Devastated by the death of the future she and Micah had dreamed of together, Rachael nevertheless refused to succumb to her circumstances. As a counselor, she began to apply practical skills to grieve well and grow through the painful, traumatic experiences. In The Hopecast, Rachael and her guests will share their stories on their journeys of resilience. These stories will motivate and encourage you with clarity, direction and healing. Listen and meet the people who have been empowered by hope. Come and learn the skills to face your past and prepare for your wholehearted future. Inspiration to Overcome
Rachael is an incredible host and offers powerful conversations with people who have overcome difficult circumstances. This podcast will give you the hope you need to believe you can overcome as well. Thank you Rachael for bravely sharing your story with the world and using your pain to help others.
To Serve and Protect
Rachael inspires me daily with her podcasts. I appreciate her heart to be real and raw with her emotions. Rachael injects hope into my spirit and has helped me to not focus on things that haven’t happened yet and to be grateful for each moment.
Comfort for a new widow
Thank you so much Rachael for giving words to some of my thoughts in my journey of grief. Your podcast touches many places in my heart, in that my husband also had a background in law enforcement and eventually became a paramedic. Though his journey at the end was a 11 month battle with cancer, I saw both of us grow closer to the Lord in the midst of it.
