Adam was interviewed on “Okayest Fisher” podcast going to be at the Open Season Sportsman’s Expo at the Kalahari.
We chat about my 3 state ice fishing trip last year, and about my Lake of the Woods trip this past January.
Free to Prowl Outdoors’s mission is to inspire hunting and fishing. He talks about how he spent two and a half weeks living in his truck fishing all over Canada, and how his explanation to the border patrol was a bit dicey. Plus he explains how he kept warm sleeping in the back of his truck.
We talk about his connections to a resort in Thunder Bay. He talks about how much a non-resident license costs, daily possessions and baits that were successful.
Then we talk about what we both have coming up this year.

Trent Marsh from SpyPoint joins me on this week’s episode, we talk about the new SpyPoint Flex that they debuted last summer. I’ve been playing with them on my deer hunting lease and I have a bunch of questions. I don’t hold back in expressing some minor frustrations not unique to the company, but to trail cameras in general.
Trent takes the time to break down the most common issues with using a trail camera, specifically SpyPoint and how to fix them.
Questions such as: “I change the batteries, and now it’s not sending photos”, “do SD cards in a cellular trail camera get full, or do the transmitted images get deleted once they are sent”, “for the Flex, I requested the HD version, but there is a problem, and it’s unavailable”, “why are my trail camera photos crappy or blurry compared to all these photos other people post”, “should I just go buy rechargeable batteries since it seems like all I do is change them out”, “my cellphone has 5G in the spot my camera is, but the camera isn’t sending – what’s the deal”, “how often should I even be going into the woods to check/fix/battery the cameras”?

We chat about how much we enjoyed the trip, the differences in the regions, group tour pros and cons, and I think you’ll be surprised at our different opinion in one of the regions.
And then we share how both fishing charters Dublin Fishing Trips and Tours and Howth Fishing, scheduled and then GHOSTED me when it was time to actually go fishing.
