Mike Whalen is back! And we're back! This time we're discussing the "discourse" surrounding the Amazon exclusive original series "Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power". And boy oh boy what discourse there is. Thankfully, our own journey through Middle-Urth in Jnco jeans is fueled by a bevy of old forum complaints, "fans" accidentally creating astroturf movements surrounding the work, and speculation run rampant. It's a grand return to form!
But most importantly this is episode is a primer, a deep dive into what's going on at Amazon Studios, and how this show is being designed from a bottom up effort to at least compete with House of the Dragon, which our fantasy prestige TV vibes consultant Mr. Whalen will also join us again to discuss when the trailer drops.
