Featured: THE VERY WORST THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN

Featured: THE VERY WORST THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN

Our latest podcast from Wolf at the Door Studios, THE VERY WORST THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN, won Best Audio Fiction from an Established Creator in 2023, and has recently been nominated for five Ambie awards. So naturally, we wanted to share.

THE VERY WORST THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN was written and directed by Alex Kemp, writer/director of The Imperfection and Modes of Thought in Anterran Literature. This 9 part limited series follows Raul’s life in Hong Kong as it is turned upside down when he discovers that he can exchange letters with Sara Cloutier, an erotic fiction writer who’s been dead for thirty years. On the run from mysterious forces, Sara and Raul race to meet ‘in the middle,’ in a life-changing attempt to find meaning in a broken and absurd world.

We hope you love our latest work, the finale of THE VERY WORST THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN is set to be released 3/1/24. You can catch up on the rest of the show here: https://cms.megaphone.fm/channel/vwt

Also, come hang out with us wherever you hang out online! We're @watdstudios on all platforms and we hang around r/audiodrama quite a bit.

STORIES FROM: THE LOW SEASON An Anthology Fiction Podcast from Wolf at the Door and Poolside

STORIES FROM: THE LOW SEASON An Anthology Fiction Podcast from Wolf at the Door and Poolside

Wolf at the Door Studios and the band POOLSIDE team up to bring you a new kind of fiction anthology, where different writers created short fiction pieces inspired by each song on the album, and the music is reworked and remixed create the underscore. This is an experiment in melding music and fiction, and most importantly, we had a great time working with amazing writers and the band to create something authentic and unique.

Binged it

This show is so engaging. Great plot and well paced. The characters are interesting with excellent voice acting and witty but realistic dialogue. Can’t wait for season 2

Great Character Development

I really enjoyed this series and hope that season 2 is really happening! I appreciated the detail put into the character development both individually as well as their inter personal relationships. Definitely recommend!

Off-beat, funny and intriguing psychology based mystery

Season 1 of The Imperfection sets up a larger mystery than the characters imagined, as the question of “Where is Dr Stadler?” leads to more questions about who they are and what their place in the world is. It’s a riveting show, and passes quickly because of the protagonists Charlie and Amber’s quick wit and funny takes on their own mental illness, which involves hallucinations… or does it?

Season 1 is relatively short, and doesn’t have many ads except at the beginning of episodes. I’m hopeful about a season 2, given how this show has won acclaim, but in any event it’s a fun, off beat, and sometimes heartfelt show in itself… plus spiders!
