    The Athletic Impact with Michael Coe

    Michael Coe was born December 17th in Louisville, Kentucky and was raised in Memphis, TN. He received a football scholarship and graduated from the University of Arkansas with his Bachelor's Degree. Michael played Cornerback in the NFL from 2007-2013. After transferring to Alabama State University, he was drafted in the 5th round of the 2007 NFL Draft out by the Indianapolis Colts. He spent three seasons before joining the New York Giants for four seasons. The height of Michael's tenure in the NFL was winning Super Bowl XLVI against the New England Patriots. Michael headed to the CFL after the 2013-2014 season and spent one season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.  He retired from football in 2015 and has contributed professionally to companies including; Fanduel as a Community Manager, CBS Radio as an Account Executive, and Physicians Partners of America as Business Development Manager. Michael is currently the President of the NFL Alumni Association, Central Florida Chapter and an active member of The Omega Psi Phi fraternity Inc, currently serving as keeper of finance where he oversees all financial transactions, financial reporting and presents the financial state of the chapter to the executive board and the body. Michael attends and serves at Journey Church, where he leads the Legacy, which is the financial backbone of the church. He's married to the former Alysse Metzler, the couple recently welcomed their first baby girl, Macklynn Grace, and the two reside in Winter Garden, FL. Learn more about Michael here

    The Intersection of Wealth & Sports

    Scott Rochelle was named President and CEO of the National Basketball Retired Players Association in March 2018, after serving one year as an Interim. He previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Partnership Development / General Counsel, and Vice President of Membership, Programming, and Chapter Development.   In his role as President and CEO, Rochelle oversees the Retired Players Association’s day-to-day operations, including securing new cutting-edge partnerships for former players to thrive and prosper. In addition, he continues to strengthen and foster the association’s local chapters which has expanded to 12 cities during his tenure as President and CEO.  At 38, Rochelle, is a rising star in the basketball world, working closely with the NBA executive team to guide revenue-generating and philanthropic programs that involve the greatest names in the NBA.  He is re-writing the business strategy of the Retired Players Association and has the support of the NBA and NBPA.  Rochelle has also been instrumental in the development of new content platforms aimed at targeting younger, newly retired players. These initiatives include the creation of a monthly podcast, an aggressive social media strategy and the creation of a new publication titled, Legends Magazine, the official publication of former NBA and WNBA players.   Prior to joining the Retired Players Association in 2013 as Vice President of Membership, Player & Chapter Development, Rochelle served as an attorney for six-years with Querrey & Harrow, leading the Sports and Entertainment practice group with a focus on professional athlete business advisement, contract and endorsement representation.  Rochelle is a graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and received his Master’s in Education and a law degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.     Family First with Arinze Onugha

    Arinze is an attorney, entrepreneur, and creative.  As a New York partner at Sullivan & Worcester LLP, he assists investment managers with the forming and structuring of their private investment funds and represents institutional investors in their domestic and offshore buyout, real estate, venture capital, and structured equity fund investments. As an entrepreneur, Arinze has (i) co-launched, operated, and sold two health-conscious restaurants, which collectively generated over $1 million dollars in annual revenue, (ii) co-ventured in several new constructions, high-end, residential real estate investment projects and (iii) co-founded an apparel company he launched while in college that donated enough money to build housing for the homeless in Tanzania.  Currently, he owns multiple management companies that manage private funds focused on real estate and venture capital investments.  As a creative, Arinze is the founder and host of The Black & White Series, a super down-to-earth digital content provider of business, law, and economic strategies for entrepreneurs and heads of households.   (Follow The Black & White Series on Instagram - @blkandwhtseries.)  He also spent many years as a musician, performing and creating hip-hop music consisting of mature, business-focused concepts and honest dialogue of one’s pursuit to make a meaningful and positive influence on his community.  During his active years as an artist, Arinze released an inspirational song featuring Tariq Trotter (also known as Black Thought) from the Grammy Award-winning hip-hop group The Roots and opened for Grammy Award-nominated, neo-soul artist Bilal Sayeed Oliver.     Arinze’s charitable and civic activities include serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of DIFFvelopment, a non-profit organization with the mission to re-empower the global Black community through historically centered education and programming, serving as Co-Chair of the External Affairs Committee of the Board of Directors of the New York University School of Law Alumni Association, and mentoring those from underrepresented communities in learning business and business law concepts.   Arinze is a Goldman Sachs Scholarship for Excellence Award recipient and has been recognized by the Jackie Robinson Foundation as one of its "42 under 40" Distinguished Jackie Robinson Scholar Alumni.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in entrepreneurial management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, and a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law.
