We’re wrapping up our Papal Ponderings Watchalong series with 2024’s Conclave. Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, papal proceedings, and a whole lot of politics in a pressure cooker of a film. In this series, we’re looking at Catholicism in the media over the past two decades from its scandals and front page stories to its steamy fictions and wily figures. We began this series around the release of Conclave, a 2024 film released in late October, which should be leaving theaters for PVOD and streaming soon. Conclave has already been nominated for a few awards, including a Golden Globe, and it is expected to receive attention for the Oscars as well. We hope that you enjoy our final episode, and go watch Conclave on Peacock today! — Further Readings: — Catholic Review: "Movie Review: ‘Conclave’" — The Los Angeles Loyolan: “Jesuits reflect on the power and vulnerability of faith in “Conclave”” — Missio Dei: “Why As Catholics We Should Not Support the Movie 'Conclave'” — National Catholic Reporter: “'Conclave' bridges pulpy thrills with spiritual commentary” —- Intro Song: “BIBLICAL SENSE” Composer: Mark Richard Ford, Stephen Metcalfe — Outro Song: “Benedicte Domino” Composers: Ralph Allwood — Fan of The Indie Magazine & Podcast?
