From 1984 to 1994, Granada Television produced what is arguably the best (and most complete) depiction of the legendary detective’s Adventures, Memoirs, Case-Books and many Returns. Spanning 36 episodes and 5 movies, producer Michael Cox created a Sherlockian experience like no other. This podcast will examine that timeless series with a specific eye on Jeremy Brett in the role he was destined to immortalize.

June Wyndham Davies: A Sherlockian Conversation
In this very special episode, we are thrilled to present our conversation with series producer and show-runner June Wyndham Davies. At the request of Granada chairman David Plowright, June began producing the show in 1986 ("The Return") and shepherded an incredible 22 stories from page to screen. Here, she recalls growing up in Cardiff, her history with Granada, and producing the Sherlock Holmes series. She also shares many touching memories of her good friend, Jeremy Brett.

Wonderful podcast
Hello Gentlemen. I stumbled upon your podcast by accident. I’m not even sure where I made the discovery, but I immediately searched for, found, and followed. I’ve only listened to the first two episodes, but thoroughly enjoy. I look forward to listening to all your episodes.
I have loved the Sherlock Holmes stories for decades. And I was introduced to the Granada series and Jeremy Brett on PBS many years ago. I’m happy to say I own the complete series on dvd.

By far this is one of the best Sherlock Holmes podcasts available. Keep up the good works lads!
