I discovered this podcast while searching for monster related podcasts to listen to and found the host on another podcast, Kaiju Weekly. I've found the format really interesting. It's not a film review show like so many others, but an open discussion between freinds about monster-related topics. It's a unique spin on an old idea and deserves to be heard. Also a fun fact: Kaiju is Japanese for “Strange beast” so things like Clifford, The Predator, Xenomorphs, the Jurassic Park dinosaurs, and even Stitch would be considered “strange beasts” or kanji. Daikaiju is Japanese for “God Strange Beast” or “Giant Strange Beasts” which would lead one to the likes of Gamera, Godzilla, Anne Hathaway, and the Ants from THEM! <3

The Kaiju Groupie Podcast is something special to behold. During a time like this in the kaiju community it’s good to see some people using it to bring us together instead of apart. The best part about that is that Michael has used his platform to do good and not push any agendas except unity and community. Truly something special. Speaking not only as a guest on the cast but as a constant listener, this podcast is easily one of my favorites and I hope for many more episodes in the future.
