That’s the piece that you should do, with Robert Kelley
I absolutely loved this podcast, and Kara, your easy interview style, and how you have such open exchange with your guests. Robert Kelley was incredibly open about both his personal struggles and artistic journey. I found his advice and comments on only painting what you love hits the nail on the head. I can always see the difference in my art when I just paint what I want and am inspired by. I have spent years in the wrong mode on and off, pursuing “what a buyer might like.” No truer words were ever spoken than when Robert said you often feel a connection with someone’s art when they paint what they love. Kudos to you for such an inspiring dialogue with such an interesting and open and talented artist. His humility was quite refreshing.
