Good Stuff

So far in the series Adam’s episodes have centered around North Mississippi musical luminaries RL Burnside & Junior Kimbrough. Much has been made of the two bluesmen over the past few decades but the stories are often told by journalists or the like who sweep in from somewhere outside the Deep South and get just a taste of what these men and the music that they played is all about.
This podcast, on the other hand, comes from within. The experiences shared here were lived by the speakers over long periods of time. These aren’t stories from someone’s weekend vacation, these are memories of days gone by for the host and his guests. It’s refreshing to hear something about these men that’s not the same old blues crap that we’ve heard regurgitated a hundred times before.

Important Music Documentation

Adam’s talent and amazing photography work is what brought me to this podcast. Quality subject matter and historically significant field recordings are what has captured my attention. Great listen for music fans or fans of Southern culture and history. I hit subscribe because more episodes have got to be in the works ...am I right?
