Owning Your Feminine Power with Jana Wollesen and Mikaela Millington: Part 2

Owning Your Feminine Power with Jana Wollesen and Mikaela Millington: Part 2

We are back this week for Part 2 of our conversation with Jana and Mikaela.

If you missed last weeks episode, here is a brief recap:

Mikaela is a yoga teacher and retreat organizer and you may know her from attending one of her classes. Most recently, Mikaela launched her online platform and gave her clients a place to connect with her and the movement from the comfort of their own homes. If you haven't tried one of her classes yet, we seriously recommend it.

Jana is a true entrepreneur business woman. She is a life coach, a podcaster and she is expanding her resume with graphic design. She is the intuitive friend you can go to for advice about anything and has the true power to help you reveal the tools and answers you're looking for by shining a light on the power you have within you.

In this part, we talk about the creation of The Divine Feminine Expression, an event (and following) where they give women a safe and supported space to be open and vulnerable. Journal prompts, movement, breathwork and stunning goddess portraits are just a few of the offerings from these amazing events. We will be diving deep into this and the subject of the feminine in part 2!

With a passion and background for health, mental wellness and personal growth, we are so grateful for this conversation with both Jana and Mikaela.

A Balanced Boss - Chelsey Jade Curtis

A Balanced Boss - Chelsey Jade Curtis

This week we sat down to chat with Chelsey Jade Curtis. She is an holistic health coach, podcast host and the co-creator of the Balanced Boss Course. An online webinar style course that combines her knowledge of health and her best friend Jaci’s knowledge of business and being an entrepreneur in a millennial world.

Her podcast What We Said, that she co-hosts with Jaci has over 5 million downloads and a significant following, we knew we had to sit down with her and really get to know her story and background.

Chelsey doesn’t hold anything back during this episode, we go deep into her struggle with body image as a teenager, how it manifested into an eating disorder into her early 20’s and how she “healed” herself with the help of therapy and a deeper understanding for health and wellness.

We talked about her journey to become a health coach, her experience with clients as well as why she (along with Jaci) started their podcast and their course, the Balanced Boss.

Chelsey is full of self awareness and excitement for life. She is truly an inspiration to talk to and a joy to follow along with. If you would like to know more about Chelsey and what she has to offer, we encourage you to check her out - links below:

Just Breathe: Our Experience with Breathwork

Just Breathe: Our Experience with Breathwork

On this week’s episode we are talking all things Breathwork. Our experiences during past sessions and Sam’s decision to become a Breathwork Practitioner.

Sam goes into detail about her program and how she is both healing her traumas through the breath while also learning how to conduct Breathwork sessions with others so that she can be a resource to those struggling to break free from their own anxiety and trauma.

Kellyn shares her experience with previous Breathwork sessions and talks about the session she had with Sam - what came up for her and what she was feeling.

This leads to us discussing the origins of trauma within our own lives, how it manifests within the body and that trauma looks different for each person. We also touch on dealing with trauma of those who have passed and our faith in something bigger and something after this human life.

Of course, we talk about Radical Forgiveness and how we are working on setting our souls free from the pain we’ve experienced throughout our lives.

Sam explains the breath technique CCB or Conscious Connected Breathwork and goes into detail about the physical and mental benefits of this technique (or Breathwork in general).

Breathwork is a powerful tool and Sam is so excited to be sharing this episode and her experience with our listeners. She is also available if you are curious to learn more about Breathwork or if you would like a session with her.

We are both so happy to incorporate our practices and passions into this podcast and share techniques with you to truly live in alignment with your best self.

Be Your Own Inspiration with BootyByMich

This week we are joined by Michelle, you may know her as BootyByMich online. She is an amazing fitness instructor but most importantly, an entrepreneur navigating the business space while also maintaining her personal sense of wellness and connection to self.

Mich shares her background, moving to Vancouver and her drive for health and wellness. She talks about what inspired her to get into fitness, who or what inspires her now and her opinion on the importance of the mind/body connection.

We also get into the A.S.S. Class, how it came about and how she moved the class from the  studio to her online platform so that she could keep up with the demand. She shares her career pivot during a pandemic and how she was able to move her business and clients to an online space and how that’s going for her so far.

Kellyn and Michelle touch on dating in Vancouver and how they are both calling in an organic type of love - and their thoughts on dating apps (kindred souls).

We are so grateful for the takeaways from this episode. We feel inspired by Michelle’s energy and her drive to continually push the bar as a woman in the entrepreneurial world.
